It was my birthday last week & i always manage to treat myself to something nice on my birthday, so i got myself a fixed gear bike just for the hell of it.
Also bought the book on fixed gear culture that i banged on about a few blog weeks ago.
& to go with all that i bought a Kodak ZX1 video camera
similar to a flip cam it shoots 60fps @ 720p.

TSTM
In my opinion, this is one of the best music videos ever made.
Im betting 99% of you won't agree because its cool to dislike Jared Leto.
So forget you don't like him & enjoy the video for the sake of good film-making.

22
I turned the boring age of 22 today, happy birthday me, got some cool camera stuff from ebay & some charity shops & had a delicious pint of cider at the pub, get to celebrate more tomorrow at a gig where 2 of my favorite bands are playing.
Here is a cool video with a sneak peak of what the new photoshop will be offering called content aware, so far people have called this a fake probably due to how advanced it is, if its real, its pretty darn cool.

Polaroid + GaGa
More Polaroid news.
The British Journal of Photography got their hands on a pack of PX100 which is made for the Polaroid SX-70 which have already started reaching sky high prices on ebay.
The results don't look too fantastic, if anything they look terrible.
Supposedly out of the 8 photos they took only a few produced recognizable images.
Olivier Laurent Says:
"But my initial impressions are that PX100 behaves like a expired pack of 669 or Time-Zero. You’re never sure of what you will get. To be fair, Impossible did warn us about this during its press conference yesterday. A slight change in temperature or pressure can ruin or enhance your image. One thing is sure, do NOT use this film outside in the winter or early spring, when there is still a cold breeze. Also, in some situations, you will need to keep your ND filter on. Apart from some disappointing results (especially when shooting outside), it feels good to load a SX-70 with some new film."
So its not looking good so far, i doubt i'll be buying some anytime soon.
Also I was only recently informed that Lady GaGa is the creative director for a line of new polaroid products.
Shes already advertising them in the video for telephone, Its not as if she needs the money.

GaGa without make-up... ...looks good
Maverick
Maverick Industries have organized a Jam at Dorchester Skatepark.
Ive been asked to go film it, they already have tons of sponsors, should be a good day.
Maverick have also got some awesome projects for new skateparks.
Marlborough skatepark opens tomorrow.
& here are the plans for Sheringham skatepark 'The Strip' which looks insane.
Here is a 3D video of the skatepark.

Nova
Realy?
Nova DSLR Concept
I like it, but i can see it being more of a bridge camera like the new Sony range which launches later in the year or the Olympus Pen, i see this as being a bit impractical for using zoom lenses on, can you imagine trying to use this without a tripod or monopod with a Canon 70-200L? I can't, i reckon another company may pick up on this & offer something better with a more practical lens range.
Massan
This video is just plain cool.
Commercial for Leader Bike featuring Massan.
Shot on location in San Francisco.

YOO ESS BEE
Heres a ton of quirky USB products.
Spectrus USB Hub, probably the best looking hub around boasting 7 ports its so good looking.
DIY Cable Management, simple & clever, i would try this if i didn't have such a thick desk.
USB Hand Signs & More, this is a pretty good array or USB devices from hand signs to glasses & feathers.
Infinite USB, this is pretty useful for laptop users who only have 2-4 usb ports, i hope a lot of companies use this on their products.
USB Jewelery, they come in cufflink, bracelet & necklace form, fairly pricey but you're paying for fashion & function.
Flash Drive Wrist Band, Similar to the rubber charity bands everyone wears but a measly 512MB storage space.
USB Key, awesome looking but i doubt the capacity will be anything to shout about.
Fury USB Storage, just don't confuse it with something from your dead mouse collection & you'll avoid embarrassment.
The i.Saw, i thought this was a joke, clearly not, its the worlds first & probably last usb powered chainsaw, PC & Mac compatible, how convenient, i wonder what it can cut through.

Design All Over
A huge possible fad at the moment is all over t-shirt designs, if im honest i don't think it will be a fad, i think all over tees are amazing, printings come a long way in the past decade & companies are pushing what is possible with 10 colour prints, all over prints & simulated prints. What makes a good t-shirt company nowadays is what they are able to create.
Here are my favorite big design t-shirts that cover most of or all of the t-shirt they are printed on.
